Name: Cecil
Canon: Welcome to Night Vale
Age: 20
Year: Junior, although it seems like Cecil's been attending AUniversity forever. He can't remember a time before AUniversity. AUniversity can't remember a time before Cecil, either.
History: Cecil and his twin brother Kevin were born and then promptly put up for adoption. While Kevin was taken in by a corporation known as Strexcorp, Cecil was placed with a normal family (but still watched closely). When he was about fifteen, his mother and brother left in the middle of the night and abandoned him because he kinda really freaked them out, so from then on, Cecil lived alone. Cecil doesn't really remember any of this, though. He doesn't remember a family (a mother and a brother); he doesn't remember elementary, middle, or high school - he really only remembers setting out on his own and starting school at AUni.
Cecil joined the university without any real plans, but soon got caught up in the student radio station when the last student broadcaster disappeared mysteriously. Cecil now does the student radio broadcasts twice weekly, lives on campus, and tries to involve himself in everything he can so he can report about it on his show. Cecil attends AUni with a full ride scholarship paid by Strexcorp, but the only thing he knows is that his tuition is being paid by a "anonymous contributor". He doesn't think about this or let it bother him too much, but he does have to mail in reports of his grades every semester.
One time he got a C in a course and nobody saw him for two weeks. Cecil doesn't remember this, though - he just sometimes gets a little too anxious or nervous if he thinks about his grades slipping.

I'm told by an anonymous letter I received pasted all over the inside of my front door this morning that it doesn't matter what I write here, since my admittance to the university is apparently guaranteed in some way, but I thought it might be nice for me to write you a little something to peruse anyway!
My name is Cecil Gershwin Palmer! I'm not sure what I'm going to study, but I'm sure it will be something interesting. Science? Art? The ongoing mysteries of the waxing and waning of the moon and how that's tied to the massive heart attacks at least three of this university's admittance council members will suffer within the next year? There's just so much to choose from! Of course, I'll do my customary prayers in my bloodstone circle to ensure I'm put on the right path, but for now, all I can do is guess and wonder and feel so, so excited!
